Day 1: Marrakech – Tahanouet – Atlas Mountains – Agafay Desert
In an air-conditioned vehicle, your 2-day excursion from Marrakech to the Agafay Desert starts at 9:00 am when you are picked up from your hotel or riad. You’ll get out of the busy city and into the serene Agafay Desert in about forty minutes. You will travel past Tahnaoute and its verdant olive groves as well as citrus orchards dotted with orange and lemon trees on the off-road journey through scenic settings. You will stop to take in the breathtaking vistas of the Atlas Mountains from Asni, a gorgeous region renowned for its snow-capped peaks in the winter.
After that, you’ll travel to the Plateau Kik, which is the entry point to the Agafay Desert and is well-known for its wide-open views that inspire inspiration and a sense of freedom. Enjoy a leisurely Moroccan lunch in a peaceful lakeside setting, providing a chance to unwind amidst stunning surroundings.

Day 2: Agafay Desert – Marrakech
A typical camp meal awaits you as you rise with the sun to witness it begin its daily arc with a cold blue morning sky and illuminate the shadows of the desert before turning into a blazing ball of fire. At approximately 10:30 AM, depart for Marrakech and take in entirely new scenery compared to the route there.
