On Day 2, journey back towards Marrakech, passing through the historic town of Agdz and stopping to explore Ouarzazate’s famous Kasbah and film studios. Day1: Airport transfer to Agafay Desert in Marrakech
Once you arrive at the Marrakech Menara airport, you will be greeted by your knowledgeable tour guide and taken on a brief, one-hour excursion to the Agafay Desert. Even though this stony desert is not as vast as the Sahara Desert, you can nevertheless get away from the bustle of the city here. You will be greeted with a hearty dinner at the camp upon arrival, and you will spend the night in a classic tent beneath the stars.
Day 2: The Atlas Mountains and the Agafay Desert
The journey with four-wheel drive vehicles with a driver You may witness a wide variety of vegetation, colorful rock cliffs, mountain streams, Berber towns, and the native mountain people of the Atlas Mountains as you ride a minibus there. On the way, stop at a Berber home for a glass of mint tea. You will travel on to Imlil, which boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding villages from its hilltop location. Your journey continues to the village of Imlil, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch on the outdoor terrace while taking in views of Jbel Toubkal, the second-highest mountain in North Africa. Overnight and dinner at your camp or hotel.
Day 3: Agafay – Marrakech Exploration
After breakfast, we drive to Marrakech’s ancient medina and start with a stroll through one of the city’s most fascinating neighborhoods. We will meander through intricate passageways, observing mosques, hammams, conventional public bakeries, and Riads—ancient lodging establishments once occupied by caravans.
We will start our tour of the main attractions with the 14th-century Ben Youssef Madrassa, a former koranic school known for its remarkable interior latticework decor, and the nearby 19th-century Menebhi palace, which was constructed in the period’s pure Moroccan urban style and belonged to a Moroccan vizier.
We keep walking through the vibrant souks, which are arranged based on the commodities offered and where you can witness artisans working by hand. We travel through this labyrinth of winding lanes until arriving at the well-known Jemaa el Fna Square, where African caravans and locals have congregated for centuries for trade, entertainment, festivities, and gossip.
After lunch, take a one-hour camel ride or two hours of quad biking through Marrakech’s palm grove, stopping for tea at a local residence. It’s a fantastic way to take in the scenery ,Spend the night in the lodging.
Day 4: Marrakech Transfer
That’s the last day of your tour from Marrakech to Agafay. Our driver will transfer you to the airport at your departure time.
